Vince played only two seasons for the Cubs which were also the only major league experience he acquired. In 1931, he played in 66 games in the outfield with a final batting average of .238. For only playing limited time, he did end up with 13 home runs that was tied for second on the team with Hack Wilson. Roger Hornsby led the Cubs with 16. The following year, 1932, with Riggs Stephenson, Kiki Cuyler and Johnny Moore having good seasons, Vince played in only 36 games and got to the plate 134 times finishing with a batting average of .224. After the Cubs let him go, he played some minor league ball for the Newark Bears where in 1934 he led the International League with 32 home runs.
